One of the most common questions from those outside (and still inside) the field is "What is/are the Digital Humanities?" Rather than come up with one centrally agreed upon answer, Day of DH celebrates diversity in the digital humanities community. Day of DH is an opportunity to follow along and see for yourself what digital humanists really do, through a worldwide blogging collaboration.
On April 8, 2014, participants will document their day with photographs and texts, read and comment on each other's posts, and afterwards, the data will be grouped together and published online. Join the worldwide community of digital humanities and register here.
We hope to also publish blog posts and photos from UC Berkeley staff, faculty, and students who participate in Day of DH 2014, so we can see how a 'day in the life of' a digital humanists carries out here at UC Berkeley. Please let us know if you're participating, and email us at digitalhumanities@berkeley.edu with your Day of DH account so we can post your blog post and photos here at DH@Berkeley! We look forward to seeing your contributions and following along on April 8 on twitter #DayofDH.
Day of DH is an initiatve of CenterNet and hosted by Michigan State University's MATRIX: The Center for Digital Humanities & Social Sciences.
