UC Berkeley DH Fellow and Professor of Music Composition and Director of the Center for New Music and Audio Technologies Edmund Campion has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for his "exceptional creative ability in the arts." When not stretching boundaries with CNMAT research, Professor Campion is busy composing, and soon will be premiering new work with improvising cellist Danielle DeGruttola as part of the BAMPFA Full Series on May 21 before taking part in in New York City's Roulette on May 23.
As a Guggenheim Fellow, Ed will be heading to Korea to compose for the Korean Traditional Contemporary Orchestra. We wish him well and hope he and his colleagues will continue their DH work here at Berkeley.
