The Academic Senate of the University of California passed an Open Access Policy on July 24, 2013, ensuring that future research articles authored by faculty at all 10 campuses of UC will be made available to the public at no charge. eScholarship is the institutional repository and Open Access publishing platform for the University of California. The following types of materials may be deposited and published on eScholarship:
- Books
- Conferences
- Journals
- Previously Published Works
- Working Papers
- Non-textual Media (audio and video materials)
In compliance with the UC Open Access Policy, eScholarship can be used to deposit articles that have recently been published or accepted for publication. Additionally, other scholarly publications not covered by the UC Open Access Policy, such as books and articles that pre-date the policy, can also be deposited. New works, such as working papers, data sets, multimedia and more, can also be published.
Current details on depositing and managing materials, as well as discussion of the UC Open Access Policy, can be found on eScholarship’s website. Additional questions may be directed to eScholarship’s campus representative.
