Connecting from off campus
Berkeley affiliates (students, faculty, and staff) have access to a rich collection of databases, data services, and electronic journals via the Library. You can access these resources from off campus by using either the Library Proxy Server (recommended, one-time set up) or a Virtual Private Network client. The Library has detailed instructions on how to configure access on a variety of web browsers and devices.
Traveling with the eduroam network
UC Berkeley has joined eduroam, an international research and education community. eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity when visiting other participating institutions. See coverage in the US and abroad.
Scholars visiting Berkeley from other eduroam institutions will have access to the Library’s licensed resources, and can also print wirelessly to their public printing service. Access to digital resources at other institutions may vary.
