Title
Postdoctoral Fellow

I just started as an Assistant Professor in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities at Northeastern University. I have held positions as a postdoctoral research fellow at Digital Humanities @ Berkeley, the Berkeley Institute for Data Science, and the Management and Organizations Department in the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and was also a research affiliate at the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems. I use computational tools, principally automated text analysis, to study social movements, culture, gender, institutions, and organizations. I am an open source and open science enthusiast. I seek to use open-source tools and computational methods to make the social sciences and humanities more transparent, reproducible, and scalable. I received my PhD in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. I have an MA from UC Berkeley and a BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
