Digital Humanities at Berkeley invites current UC Berkeley faculty, students, and academic staff to take advantage of our offerings for full tuition or discounted tuition in June 2018. The application deadline is midnight on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017. We particularly encourage applications from departments in the Division of Arts & Humanities.
The Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria (DHSI) provides intensive, week-long courses around particular tools, methodologies, or theories for engaging with digital humanities. With hundreds of participants from around the world, DHSI is a major venue for meeting potential collaborators. DHSI will be held over two weeks, allowing participants to take up to two courses.
Not sure what course to take? Read about past attendees’ experiences on the DH at Berkeley blog.
Five selected applicants will receive a tuition voucher for one course of their choice; travel and lodging are not covered. However, low-cost, on-campus accommodations are available through DHSI. If selected, you will be expected to:
- Give a short presentation about your experience at a digital humanities event.
Funded attendees will also join the Digital Humanities Fellows cohort, a community of practice which gathers to discuss intermediate to advanced questions in the digital humanities.
